June 17, 1942 — February 26, 2022

Mary “Tootsie” Heimsoth, age 79, of Stover passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 at her home.

It was the 17th day of June in 1942 when Joseph and Lillian Shelton Troncoso welcomed their baby girl, Mary Josephine into their home in Kansas City, Kansas.

On February 3, 1962,  Mary married Roger Heimsoth in a Lutheran Church in Kansas City, Missouri.

Mary was a graduate from Cosmetology School in Chillicothe. She enjoyed working as a hairdresser and made it her career; opening the Head Shed in Stover in 1979.

She liked to go camping, cared for her animals, like Skippy D -Dog and donkeys. Taking care of her family and embroidering was very important to Mary. She enjoyed when family got together, and she always liked to cook for them. Her grandkids always held a special place in her heart. She always went to their events, games, and birthday parties to show them support.

She loved God and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Mary loved, and she lived.

Left to carry on her legacy are her daughters, Beverly Jackson and husband David of Stover and Natalie Stockstil of Kansas City; grandchildren, Josh and Jessie Gregg, Joe Gregg, Amanda and Joe Hutchison, Abby and James “Manley” Coey, and Jordan and Haley Mackie; great grandchildren, Pryscilla Gregg, Porter Gregg, Parissa Gregg, Ellis Welch, Camden Timler, Mason Gregg, Aaliyah Pridgen, Westyn Fields, Jayce Hutchison, Rhenlee Coey, Rhett Coey and Diver Mackie; her brother, Robert Derostyne of Virginia Beach, her niece, Alexandria Horner and husband Pat, along with many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Andrew Brown.
