Mary I. Ellison

Mary Irene Ellison, 71, of Clarksburg, passed away Monday evening, November 30, 2020, at her home.

Born September 25, 1949, in Kansas City, she was the oldest of two daughters of Orland Edd and Mabel (Martin) Young.

Mary primarily grew up in Kansas City and graduated from high school in Osceola.

Mary was married to Frank Monroe Ellison.

She worked for a time as a nurse in nursing homes. Later she and Frank owned and operated Ellison’s Corner Store in Clarksburg.

She enjoyed reading, cooking, and loved her dogs and cats. Mary was a very friendly and nice person who treated others as she wanted to be treated.

Surviving are a son, Michael Dennis Ellison, of the home; a sister, Janie Taylor, of Billingsville; and two sisters-in-law, Laura Pugh, of Nixa, and Hazel Fethke, of Florence.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Frank on July 17, 2016.

No services are planned at this time.

Arrangements are in the care of Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton.
