Martha E. Fischer

Martha E. Fischer, age 95, of Lohman, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2007, at the Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 18, 1912, in rural Russellville, a daughter of William J. and Katherine Rockelman Jungmeyer. She was baptized Arpil 9, 1912 and confirmed March 20, 1926 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman. She married Freddie F. Fischer July 30, 1929, in Lohman and he preceded her in death April 3, 1989.
She was a homemaker, busy raising her three boys. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman, where she had been active in the WELCA and the quilting group.
Survivors include two sons, Ray Fischer of Richmond, Indiana and Earl Fischer and wife Diane of Tacoma, Washington; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, William Fischer, four brothers, Alfred, Ernest, Arthur and Lorenz Jungmeyer and one sister, Lorene Woehrer.
Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, December 27, at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman with Pastor Eugene Moll officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 26, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville. Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
