Margie L. Kuttenkuler

Margie L. Kuttenkuler, 87, of Tipton, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2021, at Tipton Oak Manor.

She was born November 9, 1933, in Tipton, a daughter of Talton and Nora (Wolf) Embry.

On February 7, 1955, in Tipton, she married Frank Kuttenkuler, who preceded her in death on April 11, 1998.

Margie worked for Co-Mo Electric Cooperative and worked many years for St. Andrew’s Catholic Church as secretary/bookkeeper, working with several different parish priests. She was a lifetime member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church.

Margie loved to be with her large family, always surrounded by kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved holding the babies most of all. Family was most important to her. She also loved to read, feed the birds, take care of plants and flowers, and loved to keep up with friends and family through Facebook, texting and emails.

Surviving are nine children: Billy (Lana) Kuttenkuler of Tipton, Danny (Barbara) Kuttenkuler of Festus, Julie (Marvin) Koechner of Tipton, Lori (Dale) Combs of Tipton, Eddie (Rita) Kuttenkuler of Jefferson City, Larry (Jo) Kuttenkuler of Tipton, Jeff Kuttenkuler of Tipton, Maria (Shawn) Keirsey of Tipton, and Lyla (Chad) Salzman of Platte City; a sister, Ruthie (Jim) Barbour of Tipton; 25 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Dean Embry, Gene Embry and Fritz Embry.

Prayers of the Rosary will be said at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Tipton, followed by public visitation until 11:00 a.m. A private, family-only Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Andrew’s Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed on Meisenheimer Funeral Home’s Facebook page.

Memorials are suggested to St. Andrew’s Church or School, in care of the Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton.
