Madeline Anne Knipp

Madeline Anne Knipp, 87, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Liberty, Missouri. She was one of 2 children born in Tipton to Robert and Anne Knipp.

Madeline was a graduate of Tipton High School Class of 1950. She made her home in Kansas City working many years for the Old Westport Medical Group. She was an active member of the Our Lady of Good Counsel parish. She was an excellent seamstress and made many wedding dresses throughout the years. She also spent many hours as a volunteer at St. Luke’s Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother James Stuart Knipp and his wife Shirley; nephew-in-law Ray Bahr.

She is survived by nieces Norma Reedy and her husband Alan, Betty Henderson and her husband Lyle; and Mary Bahr, all of Liberty, Missouri.

Mass of Christian burial will be 9:30 AM Monday, May 20, 2019 at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Kansas City, Missouri. Gravesite services will follow at 2 PM in St. Andrews Cemetery in Tipton on Monday.

Memorials are suggested to St. Luke’s Hospital Volunteer Services of Kansas City.
