Mackinley Scott Mallott-Sutton

Mackinley Scott Mallott-Sutton, age 8, of Stover, Missouri passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO.

Mackinley was born on May 21, 2013 in Fort Riley, Kansas, to Sterling (Drummond) and Charles Mallott.

He was a third grade student at Morgan County R-1, Stover. Mackinley( Mack) enjoyed attending school, playing at recess with his friends and participating in the after school clubs. He particularly enjoyed Art and Music. Mackinley was learning to play the harmonica and the acoustic guitar.  His favorite music artists were Patsy Cline and Elvis Presley.

Mackinley’s favorite Pokémon character was Pikachu. Other activities enjoyed by Mackinley were playing Roblox and watching videos on Youtube.  He was passionate about doing volunteer work in the community.  Mackinley was a founding member of Trails Life USA in Eldon, MO Troop 0831. He earned many Woodland branches and achievements.

He loved playing with his brothers and sisters, spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed going camping, roasting marshmallows, and going to the beach. Mackinley always had a smile and made others so happy wherever he went. Mackinley will always be remembered for his big beautiful blue eyes and bright smile.

Mackinley is survived by his parents, Brian and Sterling Sutton; siblings, Benjamin Sutton, Kristin Sutton, Ezekiel Sutton, Morgan Mallott- Sutton, Serenity Sutton, and Matthew Sutton; Maternal grandparents, Barton Drummond I, Shawn and Bridgett McBee, Tina Drummond and Paul Beach; maternal great grandpa, Charles McBee; Paternal grandparents, Amos Sutton and Sandra Joy Nations, and Clarence and Melissa Gilmore; Aunts and Uncles, Elden and Ashley Towles, Maverick and Unique Drummond, Shawn McBee Jr., Travis McBee, Colton Drummond, Weston Drummond, and Maggie McBee; along with other relatives and friends; Maternal great grandparents Bill and Jean Points, Devon and Susan Wood. Paternal great grandparents Elden Allen and Delma Joy Nations.

Mackinley is preceded in death by his maternal great grandma, Barbara Malone; paternal grandfather, Amos Sutton, Paternal great grandparents Elden Allen and Delma Joy Nations.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the Celebration of Life at 4:00 p.m. at the Morgan County R-1 High School Gymnasium on Saturday, March 5, 2022.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Mackinley’s Family with checks made payable to Brian Sutton and/or Sterling Sutton. An account will be set up in Mackinley Mallott-Sutton's name at the Citizens-Farmer Bank in Stover, MO.
