Lynda Kaye Lyles

Lynda Kaye Lyles, 65, of Tipton, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at StoneBridge Villa Marie Nursing Home in Jefferson City, MO.

She was born August 26, 1956, in Tipton, MO, a daughter of Jr. and Jackie Fairfax.  On May 26, 1984, in Tipton, MO, she married Rodney Lyles who preceded her in death on December 18, 2004.

Lynda was a 1974 graduate of Tipton High School and later attended Central Missouri State University.  She worked for Weber, Strid Rite, Biltwell, Artex, American Textiles, and then Unlimited Opportunities in Boonville, where she had been employee of the year.  She enjoyed drawing, writing poems, reading, and painting pictures.  Lynda loved spending time with her grandchildren and will be remembered for her witty sense of humor and contagious personality.

Survivors include two children, Daniel Fairfax and fiancée, Sarah Sanders of Versailles, and Tracy Fairfax of Jefferson City; four brothers, Jim Fairfax (Rita) of Sedalia, Eugene Fairfax (Wendy) of Jefferson City, Rick Fairfax of Tipton, Steve Fairfax of Bunceton; four sisters, Sandra Sims (Leon) of Lancaster, South Carolina, Sharron Strickfaden (Jerry) of Tipton, Brenda Hale (Mike) of California, and Jackie Walters (Jim) of Boonville; two grandchildren, Lilyn “Lily Bug” Fairfax and Braelyn Leach; one sister-in-law, Clara Fairfax of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to both of her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Fairfax.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until service time on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Tipton, MO.  Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Odd Fellow Cemetery in Tipton.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Unlimited Opportunities in Boonville.
