Louise Fields, age 79, of Versailles passed away Thursday, October 6th, 2022 at the Good Shepherd Care Center.
It was on the 1st day of January in 1943 when Walter and Violet (Lawson) Rumans welcomed their baby girl, Louise Katherine, into their home in Morgan County.
She was married to John Roll and to this union they shared four children, John, Teresa, Rachel, and Karen. John preceded her in death.
On July 30, 2014 she was united in marriage to Henry "Hank" Fields, who preceded her in death on February 18, 2018.
Louise was a dedicated worker. She sewed all her life turning it into a career for numerous factories.
She also sewed as a hobby, along with embroidering. She enjoyed camping and traveling. Louise helped her family and was a hard worker.
Left to carry on her legacy is one son, John (Ange) Roll of Versailles; three daughters, Teresa (Lee) Fretueg of Versailles, Rachel (Steve Zeman) Chiles of Eldon, and Karen (John) Rimel of Tipton; one brother, Larry (Mary) Rumans of Versailles; four sisters, Jessie Phillips of Independence, Ruth (Larry) Gerlt of Latham, Sharon (Hugh) Homan of Syracuse, and Judy (Todd) Rogers of Peculiar; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one great grandchild.
A celebration of life will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the Fortuna Baptist Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Fortuna Baptist Church.
