Louise Ellen Ely

Louise Ellen Ely, age 71 , of Stover, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Lake Regional Health Systems in Osage Beach.
She was born May 1, 1937, in Franklin, New Hampshire, a daughter of Oliver and Myrtle Thompson.
On April 30, 1961, Louise married Raymond E. Ely, Jr., who survives at their home.
She was a homemaker, busy raising her family and helping her husband on their ranch. Louise and Ray spent more than 30 years ministering to more than 60,000 campers through the Ranch Rodeo at the Word of Life Ranch in Pottersville, New York.
In addition to her husband of 47 years, she is survived by four sons, David Ely and wife Charline of Lebanon; Ronald Ely and wife Freida of Springfield; Rusty Ely and wife Dawn of Laurie and Shane Ely of Stover; three daughters, Irene Gigliotti and Phoebe Ponzo, both of the state of Massachusetts and Mona Gibbs of Stover; one brother, Roger Thompson and wife Francine of the state of New Hampshire; also several grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Bobby Thompson and one son, Raymond E. Ely, III on January 16, 1987.
In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Ely was cremated. A private memorial service was held Saturday, August 2, at the family home near Stover.
