Lois Elaine Rowles

August 12, 1950 — June 17, 2016

Lois Elaine Rowles, age 65, of Syracuse, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Women's and Children's Hospital in Columbia.
She was born August 12, 1950, in California, MO, the daughter of James J. "J.J." (Jim) and Sudie "Ruth" Albin Schreck. She married Larry Scholl in July of 1969 and to this union two sons, Larry and Scott, were born. On November 28, 1986 in Syracuse, she was united in marriage to Joseph Gerald Rowles, who survives at their home.
Lois was a 1968 graduate of Tipton High School. She worked at Ben Franklin Sears and Bilt-Well Pants Factory both in Tipton. Her most recent job had been at the Nutrition Site in Versailles.
She was a member of the St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Tipton.
Lois was an avid Cardinal's baseball fan. She was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed feeding the hummingbirds and she never missed a garage sale. Lois always looked forward to going to Texas for the winter each year with Joe.
Along with her husband, Joe, she is survived by two sons, Larry Wayne Scholl and Scott David Scholl and wife Amber all of Tipton; one step son, Kevin Rowles and wife Carla; and one step daughter, Deanna Edwards and husband Shelby all of Syracuse; her former husband, Larry Scholl of Tipton; one grandchild, Beau; seven step grandchildren, Jessica, Cody, Kevin Jr., Mike Keisha, Jack, and Molly; ten step great grandchildren, Bryce, Lexie, Kya, Laik, Ashley, Cain, Caleb, Joel, Gracie, and Blaklee; ten siblings and their spouses, Bill and Sue Schreck of Clarksburg, Sharon and Robert Fulton of Tipton, Bob and Kathleen Schreck of Kennerdell, PA, Richard and Joyce Schreck of Corydon, IN, Larry and Cindi Schreck of Boonville, Ron and Becky Schreck of Fortuna, Mary and Hugh Hodler of Columbia, Judy and Raymond Young of Otterville, Dolores and Greg Holdren of Tipton, and Arnold and Susan Schreck of Tipton; twenty-eight nieces and nephews; and sixty-seven great nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by one nephew, Cory Hodler.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday June 25, 2016 at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles. Inurnment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Tipton.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
