Lois Faye Phillips-Hedrick

Lois Faye Phillips-Hedrick, 88, of Pilot Grove passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. She was one of 7 children born to Arthur Edwin and Montia Faye Williams in Florence, Missouri.

Lois was a graduate of Bunceton High School Class of 1948. She married James (Jim) E. Phillips and they moved to Pilot Grove where they raised their family. After 50 years of marriage, James passed away in 1998. Lois later married Chester Hedrick.

Lois worked for Bobbin Heel Factory in Pilot Grove and then in Boonville when the plant moved their operations. A current member of Broadway Baptist Church in Sedalia, she had previously served many years as treasurer of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church near Pilot Grove. She served on the Pilot Grove Cemetery board for several years and enjoyed visiting friends at Katy Manor.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, brother James Williams, and two great-grandchildren.

Lois is survived by daughters Elizabeth Davis of Boonville and Helen Gerke and her husband Tom of Pilot Grove; sister Louise Mullett of Pilot Grove; brothers Wilton Williams of Warrensburg, Norman Williams of O’Fallon, Donald Williams and his wife Bonnie of Wichita Falls, Texas, Estill Williams and his wife Minnie of Bunceton; grandchildren LizAnn Priesendorf, Gregory D. Gerke, Steven M. Gerke, Christopher E. Gerke; 17 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Lois Phillips-Hedrick will be 11 AM Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at the First Baptist Church of Boonville with burial following in the Pilot Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 AM and continue until time of service.
