Lloyd H. Morgan, Jr.

Lloyd Henry Morgan, Jr., 85, of Stover, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2026, at his home.

Lloyd was born on November 3, 1940, in Lincoln, Nebraska, a son of Lloyd Henry Morgan, Sr. and Frances Ellen (Peery) Morgan.

Lloyd honorably served in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1962. Following his military service, he worked for many years for the City of Beatrice, Nebraska.

On January 17, 1969, at the First Baptist Church in Beatrice, Lloyd married June Evelyn Cox, who survives of the home. In 2000, Lloyd and June purchased Hiawatha Beach Resort at the lake, which they continued to own and operate together.

Lloyd was a member of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society. Known as a "Bass Master," he enjoyed bass fishing and took every opportunity he could to be on the water. He also enjoyed collecting coins. At one time, Lloyd played guitar and performed with several bands.

Lloyd was a patriotic man who took pride in his service to his country and remained proud of his time in the United States Navy throughout his life.

Survivors include his wife June of 57 years; two daughters, Lisa Auxier (Ted) of Versailles, Michelle Blanchette (Scott) of Stover; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Peck, Zachary Sales, Nicholas Zabokrtsky, Dakota Auxier, Celeste Stranberg, Jocelyn Weigand, and Ivy Blanchette; six great-grandchildren, Kennie, Sylis, and Elijah Peck, Khaleesi Zabokrtsky, Christa Becker, and Maggie Weigand; one brother, Charles "Chuck" Morgan of Lincoln, NE; two sisters, Mary Ellen Macomber of Lincoln, NE, and Rose Lewis (Allen) of Kansas.

In addition to both of his parents he was preceded in death by six siblings, Elaine Davis, Jamie Luginbill, Rusty Baldwin, Julie Eggert, Gail Morgan and Ida Morgan; two nephews, Jeffrey Morgan, and Johnny Davis.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later time. Cremation arrangements are in the care of Scrivner-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Stover.
