Linda L. Warren

June 23, 1949 — November 2, 2020

Mid-morning on Monday, November 2, 2020, Linda Louise Warren passed away at her home in Syracuse with her family by her side.

She was born June 23, 1949, in Sedalia, a daughter of Clarence and G. Lucille LeBegue Griffing.

Linda grew up in the Florence community along with two brothers and four sisters.  She spent many days enjoying the companionship of her siblings, hanging out with her friends and being outdoors.

For most of her life she lived and worked in central Missouri but she did live on the east coast for a brief time.  She retired from Missouri Press Metal in Sedalia after several years of employment.

She embraced being a mother and loved being a grandmother and great grandmother.  Spending time with her family was her greatest enjoyment, whether it was camping, cooking over a hot fire, looking for mushrooms or fishing; the time spent together was what mattered most.

Linda also filled her time working in her garden, dancing at the Ambush or taking a road trip to the boat.

She was a longtime member of the Florence United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her four children, David Warren of Versailles; Bill Warren of Syracuse; Michael Warren of Syracuse and Lisa Evans and husband Bill of LaMonte; one brother, Bill Griffing and wife Linda of Florence; two sisters, Wanda Sue Carver of Syracuse and Marlene Schroder and husband Dwight of Florence; a sister-in-law, Gail Griffing of Florence; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Clarence Griffing, Jr. and two sisters, Connie Winnie and Patricia Yarnell.

In keeping with her wishes, she was cremated.  A celebration of Linda's life will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2020 at the Florence United Methodist Church with Bill Griffing officiating.

Inurnment will be in the Florence United Methodist Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Florence UMC Cemetery Fund.
