Levina Lucy Reuter

Levina Lucy (Schoen) Reuter, age 101, formerly of Pilot Grove, Missouri passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 at Oakridge Nursing in Plattsburg, Missouri.

Levina was born August 21, 1918, in Clear Creek, near Pilot Grove, Missouri. she was the daughter of Rudolph and Mary (Gerke) Schoen. Prior to her marriage, Levina was a correspondent for the Catholic paper in Jefferson City. She was a member of the St. Joseph Altar Society in Pilot Grove for many years.

On January 22, 1946, at St. John Catholic Church in Clear Creek, she married Ralph V. Reuter. Together they were blessed with six children. She and Ralph loved to travel, to go fishing and to visit family. Levina always had a vegetable garden and she loved her flowers. She was famous for her angel food cake and she was always ready to feed whoever dropped by.

Those preceding Levina L. Reuter in death are her parents; her husband Ralph on May 25, 2007 and her daughter Brenda K. Gifford; brothers Joe and Amandus Schoen.

Surviving Levina are her children Mary Lea Reuter, Frank V. Reuter and wife Cheryl, Norman L. Reuter, Martha M. Gerling and husband James, Bernard J. Reuter and wife Peggy; son-in-law Ralph Gifford; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, whom she adored; her sister Annalean Romig; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM, Thursday, May 28, 2020 at St. John's Catholic Church at Clear Creek near Pilot Grove. Visitation will begin at 9 AM with a Rosary at 10:30 at the church. Burial will immediately follow in St. John's Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to St. John's Cemetery or donations for Masses to be held in the future in memory of Levina L. Reuter.
