Lee Edwin Lemler

Lee E. Lemler, age 91, of Smithton, died Friday, September 5, 2008, at the Golden Age Living Center in Stover.
He was born November 19, 1916, in Florence, a son of John H. and Katie Schroeder Lemler. On September 8, 1936, in Kansas City, Kansas, Lee was united in marriage to Agnes L. Klein, and she survives at their home in Smithton.
He was a heavy equipment operator with Operating Engineers Local 101 in Sedalia, retiring in 1978.
He was a member of the Florence United Methodist Church and the Smithton Senior Center.
Lee enjoyed fishing and working in his garden. Following his retirement he enjoyed traveling around the country with Agnes, visiting almost ever state.
In addition to his wife, he is survived three children, Norma Jean Bremer and her husband Bob, Bobbie L. Lemler and his wife Beverly and Donnie W. Lemler and his wife Bonnie all of Smithton; ten grandchildren , Terry, Debra, Lisa, Kevin, Bill, Mike, Steve, Debora, Brenda and Melissa, fifteen great grandchildren, also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Ruby Nolting and one granddaughter, Barbara.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 8, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover with Rev. Dan Page officiating. Burial will be in the Florence UMC Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. Monday, at the funeral home. Contributions are suggested to the Florence UMC Memorial Fund.
