Larry Dean McPherson

Larry Dean McPherson, 83, died November 26, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, MO.

He was born December 24, 1933 on a farm near Fortuna, MO, the son of Marvin H. and Nora F.
Wendleton McPherson. On June 14, 1958, at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tipton, MO, he married
Agnes C. Wolf who preceded him in death.

Dean served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps First Air Wing Division from 1951 – 1957 seeing active
duty during the Korean conflict. He worked as a commercial aircraft machinist and lead mechanic until
retiring to Tipton in 1991. He was a parishioner of St. Andrew Catholic Church and a member of the
Knights of Columbus. He was active in the American Legion Post 304, a member of the Marine Corps Air
Transport Association, and a contributor to the U.S. Marine Corps Foundation.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law Philip D. and Barbara A. Stoecklein McPherson, Yorktown, IN; a
daughter and son-in-law, Lisa M. and G. Thomas Hipp, Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Donna D. Patterson
and Sandra A. Jennison; brothers-in-law, Gerald D. Wolf, Edward L. Wolf and Donald A. Raines; six
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Dean was also preceded in death by his parents, Marvin H. and Nora F. McPherson; sister, Karen S.
Raines; father-in-law, Albert H. Wolf; mother-in-law, Bertha H. Wolf; brothers-in-law, Edwin (Bud)
Patterson and Jim Jennison; and sister-in-law, Dolores (Tater) Thoenen Wolf.

The Rosary will be led by the Knights of Columbus at 4:30 p.m. followed by visitation from 5:00-7:00
p.m. on Friday, December 1 at Meisenheimer Funeral Home, Tipton, MO.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2 at St. Andrew
Catholic Church with Fr. Anthony Rinaldo officiating.

Burial will be at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials to St. Andrew Catholic Church or St. Luke’s Hospice House.
