Laretta Bigham

Laretta Bigham, age 72, of Versailles passed away Monday morning,

December 18, 2017 at her home.

She was born December 29, 1944 in Osceola, Arkansas, a daughter of

Richard and Edna Felts Cagle. She was raised in Kilgore, Texas. On January 31 , 1962 Laretta was united in marriage to Joseph N. Bigham, who survives at their home.

She was employed at Texas Instruments in Sugarland, Texas, and Myron F. Steves insurance company in Houston, Texas. In 2006, Laretta and Joe retired and moved to Versailles.

She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending time

with family, especially her three granddaughters and two great grandchildren.

She enjoyed sewing, reading, singing hymns and going to church. She was a dedicated Christian and a faithful member of the West Chapel Church in Stover.

In addition to her husband of 55 years, she is survived by a son and

daughter-in-law, Joseph Jr., and Cheryl Bigham of Versailles; three

granddaughters, Bethany Nickels and husband Dan of Camdenton; Christa

Koop and husband Kyle of Fort St. John, British Columbia and Rachel Bigham

of Versailles; two great grandchildren, Carson Nickels and Rivka Koop, one

brother, Richard Cagle, Jr. of Luxora, Arkansas; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Laretta was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Lucille Cox and

three brothers, James Cagle, Billy Cagle and Larry Cagle.

A Memorial Reception will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles with the Celebration of Laretta's life beginning at 3:30 p.m.
