Kenneth C. Fischer

Kenneth C. Fischer, age 81, of Versailles, MO, died September 29, 2026, at Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.

He was born December 13, 1944, in rural Stover, MO, the second of four children to Marnum and Mildred Holtzen Fischer. He was baptized at home, in Stover, on December 27, 1944, and confirmed March 30, 1958, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stover.

On June 24, 1995, Kenneth was joined in marriage to Roberta Capps Luvin and they enjoyed 31 loving years together on their farm in Cole Camp, MO, prior to moving to Versailles.

Kenny, as Roberta called him, served his country in Vietnam prior to becoming a steel worker at Armco Steel in Kansas City, MO. After retirement from Armco, he returned to what he loved the most, farming and raising cattle. When Kenny wasn’t in his tractor, you could find him sitting on the porch watching his cows. He enjoyed Chiefs football, traveling and spending time with his family. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, tractor rides with his grandchildren, fishing with his daughter and adventures with his wife.

He was a long time and faithful member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and a member of the American Legion.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and leaves behind his wife, Roberta Fischer; daughters, Kenna McIntire (Terry) and Rachel Osman (Mike); and son, Derrick Luvin; brothers, Dean Fischer (Kathy) and Wayne Fischer (Phyllis); sister, Verona Goetz (Ed); grandsons, Matthias Freese, Kael Freese and Trent Nolting; granddaughters, Taylor Osman and Alexandra Greer (Isaac); several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be on Monday, October 5 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stover, MO, at 10:00 am with interment with military honors at the St. Paul’s Annex portion of the Stover Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Monday, October 5 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stover, MO, at 9:00 am.

Memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or School, in care of Scrivner-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Stover.

Kenny was loved by many but as he would say “That’s your fault.”
