Kenneth Louis Alpers

Kenneth Louis Alpers, age 48, of Versailles, died Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
He was born August 2, 1960, in Jacksonville, Florida, a son of Melvin and Betty Peck Alpers.
On February 14, 1995, in Versailles, Kenny was united in marriage to Eva E. Jordan and she survives at their home.
He owned and operated Ken's Small Engines in Versailles, where he was a lawn mower repairman.
He enjoyed tinkering in his shop. His greatest enjoyment came from the time he could spend watching his granddaughter "Ray Ray."
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Amber Louiselle and husband David and Malissa Alpers all of Versailles; a granddaughter, Araya "Ray Ray" Louiselle, an aunt and uncle, Delores and Norman Munsterman of Stover; also several cousins and friends.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael Alpers.
Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M. Friday, October 17, at the First Assembly of God Church in Versailles with Rev. Gary Petty officiating. Interment will be in Stover.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. - 2:30 P.M. Friday, October 17, at the First Assembly of God Church in Versailles. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Malissa Alpers Education Fund.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles.
