Kay Moon

Kay Frances Moon, 78, of Florence, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Tipton Oak Manor, surrounded by her family.

She was born February 6, 1947, in Sedalia, the daughter of Dale and Nora (Steele) Cramer. On June 11, 1965, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, she was united in marriage to Kenneth G. Moon.

Kay was a 1965 graduate of Otterville High School, where she was active in sports. She worked at Commerce Bank in Tipton for many years, retiring as general manager. She especially enjoyed helping elderly clients and took pride in building relationships through her work.

A longtime member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Kay served faithfully as church secretary for many years, taught Sunday school, and helped with Vacation Bible School.

Kay cherished time with her children and grandchildren and was often the one behind the camera, capturing family memories. She enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Colorado. She will be remembered as vibrant and full of life, kind, forgiving, and friendly. She truly loved people.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Kenneth Moon; daughter, Kristi Moon; son-in-law, Mike Beeman; four grandchildren, Mallory Gose (Brian), Tyler Beeman (Brittany), Savannah Bialczyk (Harley), and Ava Oehrke; five great-grandchildren, Clara, Tessa, Kenlor, Rylee, and Brandon; two sisters, Pam Combs and Kelli Cramer; and one brother, Lynn Cramer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kimberly Beeman; and a sister, Diane Cramer.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2026, at Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Tipton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church near Florence, with the Rev. David Moon and the Rev. Bill Johnson officiating.

Casket bearers will be Mike Beeman, Tyler Beeman, Brian Gose, Jason Nau, Josh Nau, and Harley Bialczyk.

Honorary bearers will be Lynn Cramer and Alan Kelso.

Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
