Kathyrn "Kathy" Marie (Holloway) Tankersley

Kathyrn "Kathy" Marie Tankersley, 83, of Syracuse, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, MO.

Kathy was born July 2, 1938 in Versailles, MO, the daughter of Ernest and Audrey (Mariott) Holloway, who preceded her in death.

On August 1, 1970, she was united in marriage to Dale Tankersley at East Sedalia Baptist Church.

Kathy graduated from Versailles High School. She enjoyed gardening and tending her flowers. She also liked to go to garage sales and collect knickknacks. Kathy was an avid social media fan.  Faith and family were most important to her. She loved Jesus and her family with all her heart. She will be dearly missed.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Dale Tankersley of the home; three children, Vicki Hart (Raymond), Brad Akin (Laura), and Jerry Tankersley (Renee), all of Sedalia; one brother, Bill Holloway of Oskaloosa, KS; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one great-great grandchild.

A private family graveside services will be held at Newkirk Cemetery, Fortuna, MO. A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
