Stover

Karen Warner, age 70, of Stover passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024, at her home.
It was on the 4th day of December in 1953, when William Irvin and Geanie R. (Davis) Cowell welcomed their daughter into their home in Kansas City, Kansas.
On October 28, 1991, she was united in marriage to Mike Warner at the First Baptist Church in Stover.
Karen loved to stay busy. She was an entrepreneur, helping family members with their businesses and having her own. She owned and operated The Gallery in Stover for many years.
Art was very important to Karen. It came to her in many forms. She was very talented at playing the guitar and singing, painting and crafts, along with sewing and quilting. She made every prom dress her granddaughter wore. She was a very hands-on person with everything she did. She had a passion for fishing with her friends and family. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family.
She was a member of the Ivy Bend Baptist Church.
Left to carry on Karen's legacy is her husband Mike of Stover; two daughters, Dana Wheatley and husband Tony of California and Leana Hendricks-Remington and husband Tommy of Stover; a granddaughter, Aubrey Hendricks; five brothers, William I. Cowell, Jr., John Cowell, Gerald Cowell, Mike Guinnup, and Dale Guinnup; two sisters, Willie Calvin and Debbie Cox; along with other relatives and lots of friends, she didn't know a stranger.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Donny Guinnup and Rickey Guinnup.
