Judith Jane Campbell, 86, of Olathe, KS, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024, at Anthology of Olathe.

She was born February 15, 1938, in California, MO, daughter of Leonard Dean Gainer and Mabel Gertrude (Chaney) Carr.

On March 7, 1976, in Springfield, MO, she was married to George William Campbell, who preceded her in death on August 6, 2023.

Judith was a 1955 graduate of California High School. She worked as secretary and later part owner of MO Abstract and Title. She and her husband owned and operated Marker Insurance Agency in Versailles, MO, for 25 years.

She was baptized at First Christian Church in California in 1950, and was currently a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Versailles and served as treasurer for several years.

Judy was passionate about golf and was a longtime member of Rolling Hills Country Club where she served on the board and was active with the Ladies Golf Association. A wonderful memory for her was being on a 4 lady team representing Missouri at the American Cancer Society's National tournament in LaQuinta, California. Whether she got a hole-in-one or not wasn't important; she just loved traveling all over the state to play golf and socialize. She was also a member of the 50s Plus Women's Golf Assoc., Missouri Women's Golf Assoc., and the Central Missouri Women's Golf Assoc.

Surviving are two children, Michael Snodgrass and Laurie Snodgrass; two step-children, Jeanna Campbell and Stephen Campbell; four step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Albert Powers Carr; and a brother, Jack Chaney Gainer.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2024 at the Ft. Scott National Cemetery in Ft. Scott, KS.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Ft. Scott Area Community Foundation or Olathe Animal Shelter, in care of Scrivner-Page-Dady Funeral Home, P.O. Box 64, Stover, MO 65078.
