Juanita Roberts

Juanita Lea Roberts, 76, of Fortuna, MO, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Sedalia.

She was born on May 27, 1948, in the family home in Otterville, MO, a daughter of Isaac and Elna (Woods) Rhodes. In 1996 she married Charles William Roberts, and he preceded her in death on November 16, 2016.

For many years, Juanita dedicated her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Okeene, Oklahoma. Her gentle hands and compassionate heart brought comfort to countless patients and families throughout her career.

A devoted member of the Tipton Community Baptist Church, Juanita's faith was a guiding light in her life. She found joy in worship, community, and living out her values through kindness and humility.

Juanita was a gifted seamstress who lovingly made many of her children's clothes by hand, pouring care into every stitch. She had a green thumb, delighting in the time she spent tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. In quieter moments, she enjoyed creating crafts, always finding beauty and purpose in the little things.

Survivors include two sons, David Wassman of Boonville, Kevin Wassman (Deeann) of Clinton; two daughters, Shelly Jensen (Eugene) of Tipton, Robin Bryan (Mike) of Boonville; two brothers, Lindell Rhodes of Boonville, and Robert Rhodes of Belle; one sister, Edna Spath (Robert) of Mountain Home, AR; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Juanita was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, and one brother, Lester David Rhodes.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Tipton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Moreau Cemetery near Tipton. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Moreau Cemetery.
