Joyce Kathryn Pulley

Joyce Kathryn Pulley, age 81 of Holts Summit, Missouri passed away September 6, 2020 at University of Missouri Hospital, Columbia, Missouri.

Joyce was born October 14, 1938 to Leonard and Kathryn (Bryan) Schmidt in Bunceton, Missouri. She was united in marriage on April 27, 1957 to Jesse Pulley. They were blessed with 5 children but sadly lost two at infancy.

Joyce worked at both Stride Rite in Tipton and Toastmaster Manufacturing in Boonville before finding that what she enjoyed most was working with younger children. She drove the bus for Delmar Cobble State School and was also a Foster Parent helping children through crisis situations.

Her hobbies included vegetable gardening, canning, sewing, collecting quilts and also a variety of detailed Christmas houses and villages. She loved displaying her collection during the Christmas season, since it was her special time of year.

Joyce leaves a legacy of compassion and devotion that will live on forever in the lives of those she served and helped.

Preceding Joyce in death were her parents; two infant sons Steven and Michael; the father of her children, Jesse Pulley.

Joyce is survived by her sons Daniel Pulley (Theresa), of Bunceton, Missouri, Dennis Pulley (Leticia) of Columbia, Missouri; daughter Kathy Stegner (Mark) of Eugene, Missouri; grandchildren Dan Pulley, Hillary Roberts, Garrison and Mason Stegner; great grandchild William Roberts; brother John Schmidt (Virginia), of Bunceton, Missouri; nephew John Schmidt, Jr. of Bunceton, Missouri and niece Theresa Twenter (Cletus) of Boonville, Missouri.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Meisenheimer Funeral Home, Tipton with interment immediately following at Bunceton Masonic Cemetery. A visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. prior to the service.

Observance of social distancing and masks are encouraged.

Memorials for Joyce K. Pulley are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
