He was born September 27, 1949, in Maywood, California, the only son of John A. and Mildred (Jones) Wyatt.
In 1975, Chris met Edwiena Echols and on September 19, 1980, in Phelan, California, they were united in marriage. Edwiena survives at their home.
He was a commercial truck driver, at one time driving for IML EAGLE DIVISION, Siegal Sand & Gravel, Camps, Tiner Tower Services, Naylor Trucking and JWK Trucking. He was a gifted at maneuvering his truck in and out of tight locations and that talent enabled him to bring the Channel 6 tower to the area and help with its installation.
He had attended the Family Worship Center in Versailles; where he loved driving the church bus until he became too sick to do so.
When Chris wasn’t on the road he could be found working on vehicles; as he was an accomplished mechanic. He enjoyed camping, coloring, writing and watching movies. He loved playing the harmonica and guitar and listening to good music. He was always ready to tell a joke and had a wonderful sense of humor that will be greatly missed. His greatest attribute was loving others and his greatest enjoyment came from being on the farm and spending time with his family.
In addition to his beloved partner of 44 years, he is survived by six children, Kiya S. McClellan and John C. Wyatt, Jr. and wife Rosie all of California state; Amy Wyatt of Versailles; Sonny A. Wyatt and wife Christina of California state; Jonathon Wyatt of Missouri and Joanne Wyatt of Versailles; one sister, Vicki Wyatt of California state; seven grandchildren, Graylan and Amelia Sakaris, Celeste Wyatt, Brianna Wyatt, Nathan Palomarez and Jayden and Kensley Wyatt, along with other relatives and friends.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cheryl Wyatt.
A Celebration of Chris’ life will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 25 at the Family Worship Center in Versailles.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Wyatt Family in care of the US Bank.
