Jimmy Don Merriott

Jimmy Don Merriott, 78, of Tipton passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City.

He was born January 7, 1942 in Versailles, MO, a son of Bert and Maude (Maple) Merriott.

Jimmy Don graduate of Versailles High School. He was owner/operator of the Tipton 66 service station for many years. Jimmy Don enjoyed going to car shows and refurbishing old cars, especially El Camino’s and Chevelle’s.

Survivors include one daughter, Teena Musser and her husband Steve of Waukee, IA; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Stephanie, and Kristen; one great-grandchild, Matisen; and his companion, Mary Ann Jones.

In addition to both of his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Delmar, Norman and Darrell Merriott.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton.

No formal services are scheduled.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
