Jeanette A. Stegner

Mrs. Jeanette Ann Stegner (nee: Lammers) of Cuba, MO, formerly of Marthasville, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026 in Rolla. She was born on October 4, 1931 in Pilot Grove, to the late Richard and Florence (nee: Schuster) Lammers. She had reached the age of 94. 

Jeanette was united in marriage to George Henry Stegner on February 12, 1950 in Pilot Grove. They spent 71 precious years together before his passing in 2021. This union was blessed with three children. Jeanette was a long time member of the St. Paul's UCC in Marthasville where, she was involved in several aspects of the church, including the Women's Guild. She was a wonderful quilter and enjoyed donating her time and talent to the Quilts of Valor for the Veterans service. Jeanette and her husband enjoyed traveling and had made it to all 50 states. She was a Bobbin Lace maker and her creations were on display at several local historic events. She was also a member of the Great River Squadron Flying Club. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved cooking and baking for her family and friends. Jeanette was especially fond of her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Above all else, she was a loving, caring and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. 

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Stegner; her parents. Richard and Florence Lammers; four siblings, Clarence, Kenneth and Richard Lammers and Alice Templemire; one daughter-in-law, Joy Stegner; one great-grandson, Gideon Stegner. She is survived by her children, George Stegner, Alan Stegner and wife Charlotte, Debra Borrson and husband Jim; five grandchildren, Tara Stegner, Jeff Stegner (Richard), Steven Stegner (Lisa), Jessica Anderson (Eric) and Andrew Hunewill (Amber); four great-grandchildren, Madigan, Mykah, Phoebe and Francesca; two siblings, Thelma Kraus and David Lammers; other relatives and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at St. Paul's UCC in Marthasville. Funeral services will also be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 and will begin at 12:00 PM. The family will then travel to Pilot Grove, MO for Jeanette's final resting place.  A second visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Pilot Grove with a graveside service following at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations be given to Turning Point in honor of Mrs. Jeanette Stegner.
