Jarrett Wayne Smith

July 13, 1989 — June 17, 2020

Jarrett Wayne Smith, age 30, of Stover, passed away Wednesday evening, June 17, 2020, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident while he was on the way to Sedalia.

He was born July 13, 1989, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Charles Levi Smith Sr. and Connie Taylor Singletary Smith.

At the time of his death he was employed with Raynor Garage Doors as an installer.

Jarrett grew up in Florida and moved to central Missouri in 2018 to be near several members of his family.

He loved being outdoors, especially if he could go fishing, hunting, play a pick-up game of basketball or spend time playing catch with his niece.  Jarrett also enjoyed competitive shooting, tinkering on cars and video gaming.  However, being with his family was the thing he enjoyed most of all.

He is survived by his mother, Connie Smith of Stover; his maternal grandparents, William Ballard and Almeda Taylor Singletary of Stover; three brothers, James Cios, Jr. of Florida; Andrew Cios of South Carolina and his twin brother, Jeremy Smith of Stover; one sister, Marlana Smith of Sedalia; three half siblings, Jim Smith of Florida; C.L. Smith of Florida and Angel Smith of Alabama; eight nieces and nephews, Rocco, Anna, Aiden, Austin, Tye, Avianna, Daegan and Carter, along with other relatives and friends.

Jarrett was preceded in death by his father, one brother Jason Ballard Smith who died May 30, 2017 and his sister Devan Noel Smith who died May 7, 2020.

He will be cremated; no services are planned at this time.
