James Anderson Reed

James Anderson Reed, 87, died Friday, April 28, 2017 peacefully in his sleep at his home in Tipton.

He was born September 30, 1929 in Manila, AR, a son of Taylor and Sadie Reed. He was married to Mimi Sue Haigwood on June 15, 1953 in Alicia, AR, and she preceded him in death in 2004.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Embry and her husband Gordon of Tipton and Jeanetta Schenck of Indio, CA; grandchildren David Brewer and James Brewer both of Tipton, great grandchildren, Elizabeth Franken, Branden Brewer, James Brewer, and Maddox Brewer all of Tipton, Samantha Hedrick of Lake of the Ozarks; and many great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of over 50 years and a son, James R. Reed who passed away in 2009.

Please remember him as he was, so full of life, a very kind and loving man, a friend to any and everyone.
