Helen Jewel Coit

Helen Jewel Coit, age 87, of Stover, died Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
She was born May 26, 1920, in Versailles, a daughter of O.L. and Lillie Broyles Riggs. On November 30, 1946, in Sedalia, Helen married Glen Coit and he survives at their home.
She was employed at the Kansas City Bifocal plant in Versailles.
Helen was a member of the Stover United Methodist Church. She loved to sew and quilt.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Jesse Braden of Independence; Phillip Braden of Cross Timbers and Ben Coit and wife Kathy of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Flossie Williams of Versailles; a sister-in-law, Lois Riggs of Versailles; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James Riggs, and a sister, Pauline Thatcher.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 9, at the Stover United Methodist Church with Rev. Diane Cutler officiating. Interment will be in the Stover Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Friday, at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover.
