Gwen N. Capps

Gwen N. Capps, age 65, died Monday, December 1, 2008, at the Rosemont Retirement Home in Yelm, Washington.
She was born July 11, 1943, in Yakima, Washington, a daughter of Thomas and Irene Lucas. On April 13, 1959, in Yakima, Washington, Gwen was united in marriage to Louis William "Bud" Capps and he preceded her in death in March of 1981.
She was a homemaker. She attended the Nazarene Church in Washington and the Assembly of God Church in Missouri.
She had been employed with Gates Rubber Company in Versailles and also worked for Casey's General Store in Stover.
Survivors include her mother, Irene Lucas, of Yelm, Washington; one son, Brian Keith Capps of Yelm, Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Rhonda Meissbach of St. Louis, Missouri and Mrs. Rita Jo Jaks of St. Louis, Missouri; also five grandsons, one granddaughter, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Gwen was preceded in death by her father, Thomas and a sister, Kathy.
Private funeral services were held on December 3, 2008, at the Fir Lane Funeral Home in Spanaway, Washington. Inurnment will be in the Stover Cemetery.
