Greta Gale Case

Greta Gale Case, age 78, of Stover, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at her home.
She was born April 24, 1931, in Stover, a daughter of Albert J. and Maurine V. Welpman Fajen. Greta was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stover. On April 17, 1954, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church she married Donald Case, who survives at their home.
She was valedictorian of her Stover High School graduating class and a graduate of Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg with a degree in education.
She taught music and art at St. Paul's Lutheran School and retired from the Morgan County R-I school district as the home economics teacher.
She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she was music teacher and choir director for more than 45 years.
Greta was an accomplished artist, and enjoyed bowling in a league at Tiger Lanes in Versailles. She also loved to travel, especially to the beach where she could collect sea shells, fish in the ocean and help create wonderful memories with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 55 years, she is survived by three
children, Jeffrey Case and wife Patti of Paducah, Kentucky; Julie Kern and husband Mike of Grover, Missouri and Leslie Stubblefield and husband Donnie of Plainfield, Illinois; one brother, Michael Fajen and wife Linda of Savannah, Georgia; ten grandchildren, Jeremy Case, Gretchen McCabe and husband Philip, Lauren Case, Michael Case, Meagan Kern, Courtney Kern, Adam Kern, Chelsea Himes and husband Eric, Joshua Stubblefield and Nicholas Stubblefield, two great grandchildren, Keller Dax McCabe and Alexandra Rae Himes, along with other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, June 19, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stover with Pastor Cecil Murdock officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 5:00-7:30 P.M. Thursday, June 18, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or School.
