Glenn Blair, 92, Stover, Missouri, died Monday, May 11, 2009, at Foxwood Springs Nursing Home, Raymore, Missouri.
He was born February 1, 1917, in Mankato, Kansas, the youngest child of Aaron and Elizabeth Breininger Blair. On August 20, 1939, he married Melva Fajen, who preceded him in death March 4, 1996.
In 1947, along with his father-in-law Charles Fajen, he co-founded the Fajen & Blair Gunstock Factory in Stover.
Glenn was also an avid clock collector and a charter member of the Kansas City Chapter of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. He also enjoyed collecting gas engines.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stover. He resided in Stover for 60 years.
He is survived by one daughter, Janice Hill and her husband Raymond, Kansas City; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Blair, Lincoln, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Karla Passer, Kathy Spittler and husband Rodney, Ken Hill and wife Kim, Joanna Roberts and husband David and Chris Hill and wife Melissa, twelve great grandchildren, two nephews, five nieces, and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 15, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stover with Rev. Cecil Murdock officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 15, at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
