Glen Eichhorn, formerly of Pilot Grove, passed away on October 3, 2015 at OSF St Joseph Medical Center, in Bloomington, Illinois. He was 93 years old.
Glen Harold Waldemar Eichhorn was born September 15, 1922 in Pleasant Green, Missouri to Adolph Waldemar Eichhorn and Cleo Argenbright Eichhorn. He married Eleta Louise Shier on June 3, 1945. Happily married for 68 years they lived on a farm near Pilot Grove. They had two children: Sharan (Art) Schnuck of Boonville; and Darlene (Larry) Stegner of Bloomington, Il. They had seven grandchildren: Andrea (Keith) Reuter, Pilot Grove; Chris (Katie) Stegner, Quincy, Il.; Art Schnuck, Boonville; Henry Schnuck, Prarie Home; Jonathan Stegner (Jenna) Chatham, Il. ; Glenda (Nick) Rosenbohm, Graham, Mo.; and Kati Stegner, Bloomington, Il. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren: Garrett and Keaton Reuter; Ashlyn Schnuck; and Alex and Abby Stegner. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eleta Eichhorn; one brother, Albert Eichhorn; and one sister, Johanna Smiley. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Pilot Grove and the Wallace Masonic Lodge in Bunceton. He spent his entire life farming in the Bunceton and Pilot Grove area.
A Masonic Service will be held at the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church of Pilot Grove October 10th at 9:00 AM. Visitation will follow from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. with the Funeral service beginning at 10:30 A.M., all at the church. Burial will be immediately following in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
