Geraldine Fay "Geri" Liebl, age 80, of Stover, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015, at the Golden Age Living Center in Stover.
She was born October 24, 1934, in Versailles, a daughter of George Thomas and Hazel Wilson Farris. On February 26, 1955, Geraldine was united in marriage to Stanley James Liebl, Sr., who preceded her in death March 21, 1987.
In her early years, Geraldine worked at Brown Shoe Factory in Tipton. She later worked at Tweedies in Versailles and Golden Age Nursing Home in Stover. However, for most of her life she was a homemaker; busy taking care of her children.
She liked talking on the telephone with her friends, playing Dominoes, doing word searches, listening to old country music, and Elvis, However, her greatest enjoyment came from spending time visiting with her family.
Survivors include five children, Dennis Liebl and wife Judy of Lincoln; Rita Emmerich and companion Brian Nolting of Stover; Stanley James Liebl, Jr., and wife Dorinda of Warrensburg; Stephen Liebl of Stover and Terry Liebl and wife Christy of Sedalia; nine grandchildren, Kurt Liebl and wife Jennifer, Donnie Liebl and companion Bobbi Doyle, Megan Liebl, Sarah Bauer and husband Brian, Tyler Emmerich, Kyle Liebl, Alissa Dodson and husband Jeremy, Hannah Liebl and Ashlynn Liebl, twelve great grandchildren, Brittany, Weston, and Brooke Lynn Liebl, Cole, Phoenix, and Kamery Liebl, Alex and Adrianna Bauer, Jayden Liebl, and Raegen, Wylie, and Addison Dodson, two brothers, Jack Farris and wife Linda of Elkville, Illinois and Delmar Farris and wife Jean of Carbondale, Illinois; one sister, Ina Wehrman and husband Leonard of Stover; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her husband, Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Barbara Marie Liebl, one brother, Oliver Farris, and one sister, Laura Mae Webb.
Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Tuesday, October 13, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover with Rev. Dinzel Webb officiating. Interment will be in the Stover Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover.
