Frank W. Knipp

Frank Wayne Knipp, 69, of Tipton, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.

He was born June 15, 1951 in Tipton, MO, a son of Norbert John and Anna Mae (Hood) Knipp.

In his younger years Frank worked as a farmer and alongside his father doing Dozer work and then worked for the Department of Corrections for 23 years.  He raised fish for the Missouri Fisheries Department for many years.   Frank was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church and the Tipton Country Club where he was an avid golfer.  He enjoyed hunting, listening to oldies music, and watching sports with his friends.  Frank loved cooking, especially for his family, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Angie Dick (Marshall) of Tipton, Christie Massman of Jefferson City, Katie Dicus (Tommy) of Tipton, life partner of the home, Jackie Lutz; siblings, Lynn Essary (Norman) of Jefferson City, Cindy Twenter (Glen) of Pilot Grove, Dan Knipp (Tammy) of Tipton, Bill Knipp (Sherri) of Tipton, and Nick Knipp (Kim) of Lee’s Summit; five grandchildren, Kodie and Anna Dick, Josie and Emily Dicus, and Gwen Massman.

Frank was preceded in death by both of his parents.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church on Monday, February 22, 2021.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the church with burial to follow at St. Andrews Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Terry Jo Arnold, Tyler Arnold, Andy Lutz, Shawn McDonald, Eli McDonald, and Kodie Dick.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kelvin Boehlen, Jared Knipp, Christian Knipp, Joey Knipp, Ross Pettigrew, and Rick Foster.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Steven Huhmann Memorial.

Arrangements are in the care of Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton.
