Frank Monroe Ellison, age 68, died Sunday, July 17 at home in Clarksburg with family at his side.
Frank was a 2lb. 6oz. baby born to Eugene M. and Alberta (Dick) Ellison December 26, 1947 and was taken home from the hospital in a ladies size 5 shoe box. He was one of 6 children.
Frank served his country in Viet Nam in the US Army during wartime by assisting in building roads through the jungle. He was mechanically inclined so was also able to use that ability to work on the equipment as needed.
After returning home he became a roofer and worked for several years
for Watkins Construction Co. At one time he belonged to the Odd Fellows. He was a lover of animals and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Dennis Ray Ellison and a baby bother; sister Bonnie Cryder. He is survived by his wife Mary Irene Ellison and son Michael Dennis Ellison of Clarksburg, Missouri; sisters Laura Pugh of Nixa, Missouri and Hazel Fethke of Tipton, Missouri; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
No services are planned at this time for Frank M. Ellison.
