Frances Wayson

January 21, 1950 — November 3, 2019

Frances Marcell Wayson, age 69, of Stover, passed away suddenly, Sunday, November 3, 2019, at her home.

She was born Jan. 21, 1950.

Frances loved camping, fishing, playing poker, pinochle, taking care of her tomato plants and Elvis.

She was of the Baptist Faith.

She leaves four children, Ruth Sutton and David Rice and wife Brandy all of Stover; Faith Rice of Warsaw and Martin Wayson Jr. of Stover; two sisters Diana Howerton and husband Steve of Independence and Kelly Simmons and husband Charlie of Stover; two brothers Lee Golding Jr. and wife Terri and Richard Meek, Jr. and wife Jeannie all of Stover; fifteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Burgoyne Meek, a brother Mike Meek and a nephew Charlie Simmons, Jr. (Lil' Charlie.)

In keeping with her wishes she had a green/natural burial and was entered into rest on Monday, November 4 at Copperhead Holler family cemetery south of Stover with Lee Golding Jr. officiating.  The songs “Peace in the Valley,” “Why Me Lord” and “Amazing Grace”, all sung by Elvis, were played. Pall bearers were Charles Simmons, Zachary Simmons, Robert Riggs, Tony Burnett, Dave Sutton and Ivan Sutton.

Assistance was provided by the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover.
