Flayr Rochelle Vannorman

August 12, 1952 — February 1, 2009

Flayr Rochelle Vannorman, age 56, of Versailles, died Sunday, February 1, 2009, at the Golden Age Living Center in Stover, following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born August 12, 1952, in Denver, Colorado, a daughter of William Clinton and Lylla Mae McAdams Birdsong. She married William Joseph "Billy Joe" Vannorman in November of 1969, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She was a homemaker. Rochelle loved to take walks and play with her dog, Muffy. She enjoyed listening to country music and travel to places she had never been.
She is survived by her husband Billy Joe, her mother, Lylla Stringer of Versailles; one brother, Clinton Birdsong of Stover; five sisters, Lola Faye of Humansville; Carla of the state of Missouri; Gila and her husband Ray, Peggy and Alice, all of Versailles, a nephew, Greg also of Versailles, along with other relatives and friends.
Rochelle was preceded in death by her father, William Birdsong, her stepfather, Lester "Pat" Stringer, one son, Sean Dale Vannorman, one daughter, Rosemary Vannorman and one brother, Billy Birdsong.
A memorial service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 5, at the United Pentecostal Church in Versailles with Rev. Gerald Hamlett officiating. Inurnment will be in the Oak Park Addition of the Versailles Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Rochelle Vannorman memorial fund in care of Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, 210 E. Jasper Street, Versailles, MO 65084.
