Faye Ann Lavery, 72, of Tipton passed away peacefully while sleeping on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehab. She was one of 3 children born to Leslie Calvin and Mamie Ethel Curnutt in Independence, Missouri.
Faye was a graduate of Raytown High School Class of 1961 and then attended Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar graduating with an Associate of Arts degree.
She worked for Fasco in Tipton and Eldon before retiring from the Missouri Department of Employment Security in Jefferson City.
Faye enjoyed gardening and tending her flowers, decorating her home for the seasons, and her little chihuahua Taffy. She received particular enjoyment in playing with her great-granddaughter Aubrey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother; and husband Edward Lavery, Sr.
She is survived by her son James Lavery and his wife Jill of Tipton; grandson Ryan Lavery of Mission, Kansas; granddaughter Rachael Mullins and her husband A.V. of Tipton; great-granddaughter Aubrey Mullins; sister Carol Lou Mullen and her husband Glenn of Peculiar, Missouri; nephew Kevin Mullen and his wife Sheri of Peculiar; niece Patricia Beard and her husband Troy of Camdenton; great-nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton with burial immediately following in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 - 11 AM prior to the service.
