Pilot Grove

Evan Wayne Schupp, 26, of Pilot Grove, passed away Friday, March 8, 2024, at his home.

Born September 10, 1997, in Columbia, he was the oldest of three children of Terry Wayne and Terri Marie (Wessing) Schupp.

Evan was a 2016 graduate of Pilot Grove High School. He was a man of few words but loved everyone and was loved by everyone. He especially loved his mom, dad, and sisters. He was caring and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed having company and food of all kinds. He especially loved fish fries and eating out. Evan was funny, always had a joke to tell, and liked to make up silly songs. He was a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Mizzou Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals, and the Pilot Grove Tigers, but could tell you anything sports-related. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Evan touched the hearts of all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his parents, Terry and Terri Schupp, of the home; two sisters, Kirstie Schupp, of Pilot Grove, and Abby Schupp, of Columbia; maternal grandfather, Joe Lee Wessing and his wife, Joyce; aunts and uncles, Cindy and Chris Scott, Kathy and Kyle Day, Amanda and Chris Childress, Glenn and Julie Schupp, Carolyn and Brent Bozarth, Keith Schupp, Kevin Schupp, and Teresa and Gary Barnes; cousins, Keaton Barnes, Kiley Barnes, Kellen Barnes, Andrew and Taylor Day (April, Axton and Alden), Austin and Holly Day, Amber Fahrendorf (Brayden, Chandler and Hadley), Adrienne and CJ Waller (Milly, Emmett and Quincy), Alex and Megan Scott (Preslee and Pierson), Breanna Childress, Bryleigh Childress, Bryer and Jerzee Childress, and Blake Green (Keaton).

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Rosalie and Gilbert Schupp; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Wessing; and great-grandparents, Katy and Cyril Wessing.

Prayers of the Rosary will begin at 4:00 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with visitation to follow until 7:30 p.m.
