Eudora Marie Petree

Eudora Marie Petree, age 86, of the Ivy Bend community south of Stover, passed away Friday, October 12, 2007, at her home.
She was born September 12, 1921, in Fortuna, a daughter of Alba Claude and Nanny Lumpy Lewis Richardson. She married Melvin Garrett Norton and he preceded her in death. She married Leon Petree and he also preceded her in death.
She retired from the North 65 Café in Sedalia after many years of employment.
Eudora resided in central Missouri for most of her life, except for seven years, when she and her young family lived in Minnesota.
She was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church in Ivy Bend.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Jean Spellmeyer and companion Wray Webb and Karen Hurst all of Ivy Bend; one son, Robert "Bob" Norton and wife Dolores of Sedalia; one brother, Dean Richardson of Tipton; two sisters, Nancy Elliott and husband Keith of California and Vera Routen of Sedalia; ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Eudora was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, William, Clifford and Bobby Lee Richardson, one sister, Mary Baldwin and one great grandson.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 16, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover with Pastor Tony Shaw and Pastor Larry Thompson officiating. Interment will be in the Akinsville Cemetery north of Versailles with Sonny Webb, Wray Webb, Bob Norton, Mark Elliott, Ronnie Joe Norton and Bruce Moore serving as casketbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, October 15, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Ivy Bend Youth Center.
