Ethel D. Schoen, age 92 of Tipton, Missouri died Monday evening, March 12, 2018 at Tipton Oak Manor with her loving family at her side.

Ethel was born October 4, 1925 to Daniel F. and Frances K. Kraus at Pleasant Green, Missouri.

They were blessed with seven children.

Prior to her marriage, Ethel worked as a lab technician in the old St. Joseph Hospital located in Boonville, Missouri. After she and her husband began their life together, she was a homemaker and basically ran their farm near Otterville, Missouri while Amandus had various jobs to supplement the families income that took him away from the farm. She and her children took care of the dairy cattle and other livestock as well as the row crops. They left the farm and have lived in Tipton for the last 27 years. They were both members of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tipton, Missouri.

Ethel belonged to a quilting club and also enjoyed crocheting and embroidery work. She was a hard worker and provided food for her family from their vegetable garden and also loved to work in her flowers. She and her husband belonged to the Moose Lodge and also to a group of friends called the Rowdy Bunch. They had great fun dancing and playing cards with those friends.
