Emma Jane Edwards

Emma Jane Lachner Edwards, age 91 of Tipton, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Tipton Oak Manor.

"Jane" was born September 26, 1925 to Henry Ray "Jim" and Velma Pearl (Groves) Lachner in rural Cooper County north of Tipton, Missouri. She and Gene Gray Edwards were married November 19, 1943 and spent 69 years together before his passing November 27, 2012.

Preceding Jane in death were her siblings and her husband Gene.

Surviving Jane are her sons Tom Edwards and his wife Jeanne, Danny Edwards, Arch Edwards and his wife Brenda, all of Tipton; daughters Jo-Ellen Hay and her husband George and Julie Patton and her husband Nick, all of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren include Eric Edwards and his wife Krissie, Kit Edwards and his wife Jessica, Tanner Edwards and his fiancée Maddie, Lindy Holt and her husband Derek, Stacey Thomas and her husband Drew, Josh Hay and his wife Brette and Kathryn Hay; great grandchildren Dylan, Rylan, Ryker and Kylan (Eric's), Wyatt and Georgia Jane, (Lindy's), Emma, Harlee, McKenna and Eli, (Josh's), Adelaide and Mabel (Kit's).

In honor of the life of Jane L. Edwards, a visitation will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton, Missouri. In memory of Jane, donations are suggested to the McClay House or Price James Memorial Library, both in Tipton.
