Dwight Alden

January 6, 1946 — January 11, 2008

Dwight Alden, age 62, of Versailles, passed away peacefully, Friday morning, January 11, 2008, at St. Marys Health Center in Jefferson City.
He was born January 6, 1946, in Rector, Arkansas, a son of Cletus and Evanelle Alden. He married Debbie Taylor on March 15, 1982, and she survives at their home.
He was an Army veteran, serving his country in the Vietnam War as a member of the air assault.
He was a welder, working at F. & P. Manufacturing and Hartzell Manufacturing in the state of Ohio. He most recently worked at FASCO in Eldon.
Dwight enjoyed woodworking, tinkering on small motor engines, was a master gardener and an excellent cook.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Donald Alden of Columbia; Jerry Alden of Eldon and Josh Rinehart of Jefferson City; three daughters, Wendy Forsythe of Versailles; Christina Rinehart and Rebecca Rinehart both of Jefferson City; seven grandchildren, Misty, Tiffany and Trevor Forsythe, Courtney Rinehart, Ashlee Morrison, and Dante and Brianna Jones, also other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services, with military funeral honors, will be 3:00 P.M. Monday, January 14, at the Versailles Cemetery with Dr. Todd Forman officiating. Burial will be in the Versailles Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. Monday, January 14, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles.
