Dorothy Jane Thompson

May 6, 1942 — December 22, 2021

Dorothy Jane Thompson, 79, of Stover, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, MO.

She was born on May 6, 1942, in Bolivar, MO, a daughter of Carl and Vera Evelyn (Farmer) Stalker.  On December 1, 1960, in Venita, OK, she married James H. Thompson, who preceded her in death on May 10, 1992.

Dorothy attended Big Rock Church in Barnett.  She enjoyed making Cabbage Patch Dolls, sewing and cooking.  Dorothy loved living at the lake and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include, three sons, Donald L. Thompson (Jenny) of Plainview, AR, Dale R. Thompson (Kristy) of Stover, MO, Jeffery L. Robertson of Carlsbad, NM; one brother, Jesse Stalker of Ozark, MO; seven sisters, Carlene Melton of St. Charles, Elizabeth Jones of Bolivar, Pamela Kelly of Pleasant Hope, Carla Duff of Pleasant Hope, Katie Stewart of Bolivar, Marcia Laurence and Peggy King both of Florida; six grandchildren, Crystal Robertson, Mandi Abrams, Donald James Thompson, James Thompson, Kaitlyn R. Robertson, Scarlet J. Robertson, and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to both of her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Lee Warren Stalker; two sisters, Velma Robertson, and Virginia White.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Stover Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Barker officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the family.

Arrangements are in the care of Scrivner-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Stover.
