Donna Peacor, age 52, of Ivy Bend passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Lake Regional Hospital.
It was a warm day the 15th of May in 1969 when William and Shirley Landers Whitaker welcomed their sweet baby girl, Donna M. into their home in Paola, Kansas.
She liked attending Union Chapel of Nazarene Church in Fordland, Missouri when she visited her sister, Ape.
Being creative was something that came naturally to Donna leading her to enjoy doing crafts that she was able to sell. She also liked going to auctions and yard sales to see what treasures she could find. Donna was a collector of anything Snoopy, even having antique versions of him. She also liked unicorns.
Donna liked many things but the thing in life that she truly enjoyed was spending time with her grandkids and family. Included in her family were her "boys" which were her dogs. She would tease her kids that she liked her dogs more because they didn't talk back or leave the house.
Left to carry on Donna's legacy is her longtime companion for over twenty-five years, Tom McClanahan; one son, Robert "Bubba" Peacor and his wife Holley of Forsyth; two daughters, Brandi Peacor and Todd Sansoucie of Hollister; Brittany LaRock-Simpson of Auxvasse; her mom, Shirley Whitaker of Ivy Bend; three sisters, Nancy Allwine and husband Victor of Ozark, Vickie Witten of Eldon, and April "Ape" Estep and husband John of Bruner; eight grandchildren, Miss Ashley and Mr. T.J.; James, JR, Patty, Kameryann, and Jimmy; and Katie; along with many other relatives and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her grandparents, father, and her beloved Squiggy.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2021 at the Scrivner-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Stover with Pastor Tim Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Stover Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
