   Donald LeRoy Garber (aged 92 1/2 years) of Trimble, MO died March 11th, 2024 at the Tiffany Springs Senior Living facility in Kansas City, MO.
   Don was born October 2, 1931 in a farm house near Helvey Nebraska, the son of Herbert Durand and Roberta (Gaston) Garber. He attended Wentworth Military Academy 1946-1949 in Lexington and graduated from Southeast High School in 1950 in Kansas City.  On February 23, 1951 he married Rosalie Cummins at Westside Christian Church in Kansas City who passed away April 4, 1999. On January 2, 2000 he married Vernita Lena Fischer who passed away February  21, 2021.  
   Don was a member of Westside Christian Church, an original member of Northside Christian Church in Kansas City MO, a member of Christian Church of the Ozarks south of Stover and upon his marriage to Vernita he became an active member of Christ Lutheran Church, and Pyrmont Trinity Lutheran near Stover. 
   Mr. Garber worked for Forum Cafeteria, Owens Corning Fiberglass, Star Boat and Motor Co. and in 1953 went to work in the Engineering Department for the Rock Island Railroad in Kansas City.  In 1980 he worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad until October 1989 when he retired to the Lake of the Ozarks.
   Surviving him are two sons: David Garber of Zapata, TX and Kenneth Garber of Edgerton, MO.  A daughter Audrey Grimes of Liberty, MO.  7 Grand Children and 14 Great Grand Children.
   He was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, Rosalie Garber (wife of 48 years) and Vernita Fischer Garber (wife of 21 years). 
   A Private Family graveside service will be held in Urich, MO to lay him to rest next to Rosalie.
