Diane Marie Koerkenmeier

Diane Koerkenmeier, age 64, of Sedalia, MO, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at her home.

Diane was born on April 11, 1960, in Jefferson City, MO, the daughter of Norman and Betty Lee (Dick) Koerkenmeier, who preceded her in death.

She loved all '80s music, especially "Freebird." Diane enjoyed playing pitch and spending time with her friends, who affectionately called her "Lady Di." She was an active community volunteer and adored her nieces and nephews. Diane worked at Lutz's Restaurant in Tipton and later retired from Meyer Plumbing in Sedalia after twenty-two years of service.

Survivors include three sisters, Joyce (Kirt) Lewis of Otterville, Debbie (Paul) Martin of Tipton, and Lisa (Randy) Bruce of Tipton; one sister-in-law, Mary Koerkenmeier of Tipton; many beloved nieces and nephews; and all her friends, especially Andrea and Heather.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Koerkenmeier and Bob Koerkenmeier.

Prayers of the Holy Rosary will begin at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Tipton, MO, with visitation following until 5:45 PM. A prayer service will begin at 6:00 PM at the church, officiated by Father Anthony Viviano.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, where Diane will be laid to rest at a later date.
